Deepwater Woolshed

Wagga Wagga, NSW

An industrial sized structure with a spidery skeleton - pushing the slenderness of a structure is something that excites us. Tricks like doubling up beams near their column supports were used to achieve big cantilevers. The structure is stabilised from underneath with a series of 2.5 - 3m deep piers and a system of sub-floor frames and cross braces.
